First off, go with something not too fancy but not too casual. A short dress is ideal so it doesn’t hang under your cap and gown.
Choose a classic color. I wore a little black dress for my graduation. Nothing says “classy” like black and white!
If you have fine baby hair like me 🙁 (we could thank my parents for that), leaving your hair absolutely down may not be an option. As summer is fastly approaching, the heat and humidity of MIAMI is no joke. I could walk out of my house with the nicest waves/curls, and by the time the event is over my hair looks completely different! (no matter how many products I put in). So, choose a hair style that fits your dress and event. Most likely you will be sitting for hours in the ceremony; or, you will be outside taking pics. Be smart and choose wisely!
Last but not least, have fun with your make up and choose a pop of color for your outfit. It could be your lips, clutch, shoes, or necklace.
The ultimate goal is to look classy but fun (not oudated). You want to look back at these pics and remember one of the best days of your life.
Congrats class of 2014!
