I recently celebrated my 30th birthday {and had a meltdown, cried for two hours straight}, but thankfully, I have always been very kind to my skin and have been taking good care of it since high school. Mostly for preventative reasons, but got me used to following a routine since a young age. My husband makes fun of me because my night routine can be a bit lengthy. I believe it’s important to take to moisturize, massage, and nourish it, plus it’s MY time to take care of myself. It is the first thing you see on someone and first impression is critical! Now, I’m trying to make better choices in the makeup I wear by using good quality products that are natural, vegan, talc, paraben and cruelty free!
In the past few weeks I have been wearing these two loose mineral eye shadows by Just Be Cosmetics. These, in particular, are very easy to work with! My trick to making them long lasting is to apply eye shadow primer base and spraying some Fix-plus by Mac Cosmetics directly onto the brush, prior to picking up the loose minerals. I then finish off the look by spraying some fix-plus by Mac Cosmetics all over my face. In this look, you can see it a bit on my top lid {I have a hooded eye shape, so my creativity on the top lids are usually not seen… Thanks Mom and Dad!} as well as on the bottom, below my eyeliner. These loose mineral eye shadows don’t have a lot of fall out, which is what I love the most, because if you know anything about using and playing with minerals, that’s one of the down falls of them. This look is so neutral and works well with any lip color. Here, I finished it with a pop of color, but often wear it with a neutral tone.
