Hey friends!
I’ve been a little MIA from here, doing some traveling and enjoying some good ol’ quality time with family and friends. Soon I’ll be sharing my San Francisco and wine country vacation diary on here, but until then I noticed that I hadn’t shared with you my favorite summer event yet. Oh, how I love this time of year! Even more so when it’s Miami Swim week.
As you may all have seen, Miami Beach was full of fashion lovers, models, Uber drivers, champagne drinkers and the most trendy and dazzling swimsuits. It was a fiasco, but a fabulous one. I was invited to attend many presentations, but some stood out to me more than others! As I shared on my social media platforms, the Mara Hoffman Moroccan themed presentation was incredible. When I walked into Versace’s home, which is also the home of “Casa Casuarina” restaurant, I was filled with a very moving emotion of excitement, and I swear when I thought that those emotions couldn’t take me any higher, I saw the queen herself (Mara Hoffman) flocking through the garden, fixing her models. WOW! I was amazed and floored.
We waited in line for a while to enter the show, but it was worth the shoe pain and blisters. This post is part one of my Miami Swim Week adventure. Part two will come next week in which Ill share some of the outfits I wore.
I took a relentless amount of pictures and tried to share every step on SnapChat (@AFancyAffair), but the rush had us going 100 miles per hour.
In between shows, Michael and I relaxed at the newest addition to the Miami Beach hotel community- AC Hotel Miami Beach. Oh, what a hotel. This place is awesome, so central and right across from the ocean. Mimosas were constantly flowing for us while at the bar and/or in the room because they were so delish and refreshing! How pretty is the restaurant area? The décor at the AC Hotel Miami Beach is so Art Deco and luxe.
Caught! Having some more mimosas the morning before the craziness began, wearing my favorite matching separate set from Mare Mare with Love. I have many pieces from this great Miami based designer and I cannot begin to tell you how amazing all of her pieces fit me! There’s not a place where I wear her garments that I don’t get compliments and asked where did I get it. They just have THE perfect fit and even more importantly the best quality. And of course I had to jump in the pool to cool off a bit and relax before shows in my DBrie kini.
