There’s no better party than the Macy’s Annual Ugly Sweater partayyyyy! Seriously, what a blast. Live music, ice skating (Yes, you read that right!! Ice skating inside Macy’s), hors d’oeuvres, delicious coquito, beer, raffles, and scrumptious Christmas cookies. For those that stopped by to say hi and to party with us, thank you so much! I was so honored to meet each one of you and to have had a chance to add a face to your IG name!
We partied to the mazing sounds of two Miami bands, the Afrobeta’s & the Hongs, which were both phenomenal.
How cute is this bacon tree ugly Christmas sweater, picked out by the emcee of the night- Vanessa James?!
And of course, I would skip hors d’oeuvres and go straight to the ugly Christmas sweater cookies! They were equally delicious and cute.
The ugly Christmas sweater I picked out from Macy’s to wear to the event had the cutest pug with gold antlers (#FancyP was totally jealous that it wasn’t her on there, but maybe I can put in a request for next year… lol). I paired this look with my Steve Madden blue suede booties that I also picked up during the Macy’s Ultimate Shopping Event (Remember that event & post? See more here). These booties are super on trend this season and matched perfectly.
Did you know that every year Macy’s has a huge section dedicated to ugly Christmas sweaters? They are actually really cute! So you no longer have to raid your granny’s closet, or spend 2 hours making your own ugly sweater to attend those ugly sweater office events, or ugly sweater Friendsgiving parties looking silly. Macy’s has a huge selection available yearly for the entire family and they are actually really cute, with the funniest designs and with all the glitter, sparkles and shiny things. Really adorable sweaters with some funny, cute and different designs.
If you’re still wondering what the heck a coquito is, then brace yourself to a mouthwatering drink. It is usually served during the holiday season in Miami. It is a coconut-based alcoholic beverage traditionally served in Puerto Rico. It is generally made with rum, coconut milk, sweet condensed milk, vanilla, cinnamon, and cloves. It’s delicious and the one served this night was scrumptious.
My favorite part of the night was meeting so many of you! Being able to chat with you was such a sweet and humbling moment. Thank you so much for taking time to come and party with us! Hope you enjoyed the $20 Macy’s gift card and were able to snag yourself something really cute!
Stay tuned for next week’s post featuring all the events happening at Macy’s during the month of January, because you know they’re going to be so much fun!!
Love you guys and till next time.
