Hey friends! Last month I shared with you the events that were happening at Macy’s for the month of January (see more here) and the Big Game Slow Cooker Tasting event is the one I chose to attend. If I can be honest with you, years ago one of my Christmas gifts from a family member was a crockpot. And it turned out to be one of those gifts that has never seen daylight. It has been sitting in my house inside the box collecting dust for years now. I love the idea of a crockpot and how it cooks for you while you’re out and about so I never got rid of it, but never used it either. Mainly it’s my mom’s fault for not teaching me how to use it. Lol… Got to blame somebody, #SorryMom. So when I saw this event I knew it was one that I wanted to go to. And of course, just like every event that Macy’s has, it was fun, full of activities, but I went straight to the point and learned this really yummy recipe that I must share with you all. Not only is it delicious, but so easy to make. So here you go, grab your apron, your veggies, your crockpot and meet me in the kitchen. By the way, Macy’s was having a major crockpot sale and some were only $10 bucks. What a steal, right?!
Of course, I had to do a little tasting to make sure it tasted good. Lol…
That’s the finished product. Doesn’t it look so good? The consistency and flavor were so on point. I loved it and can see my family and friends totally mind blown when I make this recipe at home. I can see this being poured over some nachos, and maybe some delicious bread.

Here’s a similar recipe for you to enjoy this at home.
- 1 Rotisserre Chicken, shredded
- 1/2 of a white onion, chopped
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 of a red bell pepper, chopped
- 7 oz. can of green chiles
- 8 oz. frozen corn
- 2 15.5 oz. cans white kidney beans (cannelli beans)
- 32 oz. chicken stock
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 4 oz. cream cheese
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 2 1/2 cups shredded cheese
- Cilantro and limes for serving
