{ get Ready with Me – Bold Red Lips for Valentines Day }

Hi friends! Hope all is well

I filmed a quick get ready with me make up video during the holiday season (November-ish) and never got around to editing it and posting it. Sorry! It’s a look I’ve been wearing very often (see pics below). However, its such a pretty make-up look that an be worn now for Valentines day. The red bold lips is such a sexy touch that looks good on all skin tones. I hope you like this video!

{ Press Pause }

We all need a little break sometimes. Resting doesn’t mean you quit, it’s a gift to recharge your mind, body and soul!

A little before the holiday season started, sometime around November, I started to back away from social media and then took a full blown break. I’ve taken short breaks here and there, but this one was a long one. I needed it! This time, I was rarely posting and staying active. I needed a little time away to regroup, recharge and just sit still when I had a chance. Let’s be honest, sometimes we wake up and before we even get up from bed we already opened our social media platforms and bombarded our brains with thoughts and things. Believe it or not, I’m not the type to do that. I can go days without opening IG  and other platforms. But while creating content, you need to stay active and post and interact. This time I pressed pause on all the content and just enjoyed the moment knowing that I didn’t have to post anything. Read More…

{ Blossom your Look with Clarins}

Hey fancy friends! Its been a while since I last chatted with you on here about beauty products. It’s no secret that I absolutely love Clarins products and the brand (remember this post and this one?) Clarins is that brand that always releases new and improved products that are not only super on-trend, but amazing for your skin. Here are a few items that I’m testing out now and looking forward to using it this spring! The extra firming day and night creams are phenomenal. They have such a nice scent and consistency and super moisturizing. I also picked up the SOS primer in color  (01) Rose. It highlights the skin so nicely and its the perfect primer to give your skin an all around hint of glow. Read More…

{ Luxe Nudes Gift Guide }

Hi all,

Tis the season to give and if you’re like me, this season gets you in the mood to give and to buy. Yes, I admit! I love to shop for others, but I always get this itch to shop for myself and enjoy the holiday gift sets for myself as well. I go into a store and shop for everyone on my list and tend to always leave with something for me. I’m being very transparent so no judging, please! Ha ha… Since this happens every holiday season, I’ve learned to prepare my bank account in advance. Here are a few luxe things that I’ve been coveting all year long and may take the plunge and gift myself a little something. You know, a gift to me, from me. The gift guide above includes all the luxe nudes that are perfect for MYself, yourself, your mon, mother-in-law, maybe a sister or girlfriend. I recently found this sequin jacket from Misook and think it might be perfect for a holiday party. If you love it as much as I do, use coupon code “MSK2491″ during checkout to enjoy 25% off. { Fall “IT” hat }

Baker hat, cabby hat, newsboy hat… regardless the name, it is the “IT” fall hat. Every blogger, designer and influencer is rocking the “IT” hat. It has a cute puffed crown and a partially elasticized back which fits pretty much everyone while keeping you warm. I’m obsessed with this accessory and think everyone should be too. You can find them pretty much at every store and in every type of material; velvet, corduroy, leather, pleather, fur, wool and the options are endless. If you’re like me and love to play with trends, then you must get yourself one. { Fall in love in Burnt Orange Blooms }

{Photography & Videography : Vanessa & Johnny}

Hey fancy friends! I just got back from Bimini, Bahamas yesterday morning and I’m a tad sad. My love grows a little fonder every time I visit this beautiful island. I have been there at least 6 times and as I had mentioned on my IG (@AFancyAffair), there’s always a new experience, new adventure that makes me love it a little more. I just got home and I’m ready to go back. I will be sharing a vlog and a little more about it sometime this week so stay tuned, but in the meantime, let’s talk about this gorgeous look. I was up north of Miami sometime last week and stopped by The Galleria at Fortlauderdale. I’ve been there before and always make it a point to shop a little when up there. I picked up a few key pieces that are a must for fall at the Express store, FreePeople and a few others. What I love about The Galleria at Fortlauderdale is that it has some of my favorite stores, all under one roof. You can shop for some luxury pieces and some more affordable brands. This look is one of the dresses I found and fell in love with it. The low V detail in the back is just perfection. It exudes sexy without being trashy. You know what I mean? The colors are so fun yet deep enough to be worn during fall and the scalloped trimming is adorable.

{ girls bite back }

Hey friends!

Have you ever been stuck in a place or space in life and looked up and asked God, “When is this season going to be over?” or, “Where is the light at the end of this tunnel?” I usually don’t get too personal on here and not because I don’t want to let you in my life, but because when I visit blogs, it’s usually to surf the web and look at pretty things. I also want this creative space and platform to be a place where you visit and get inspired. But lately I’ve been itching to share more about what is motivating me just because it may also help some of you. Whether you’re dealing with a past relationship, past disappointments, death or any other heartache, I hope this post motivates you to look up and dream again. Read More…
