Hello all,

Excuse me if all I want to do is twirl  in this look all day (with my pink hair)! I’m just that excited about this ensemble and couldn’t wait to share it with you. It’s one of my recent favorites, thanks to this gorgeous and flattering skirt. It’s so dreamy and designed to flatter with a tight waist. My favorite part is the flowy ball gown cut that’ll flutter with you every step. I feel like a modernized Disney princess, maybe because I’m also rocking pink hair. If you follow me on snapchat and on my other social media platforms (afancyaffair) , you saw the transformation, but if not, here it is! I’m that pink hair girl.  I told you guys the feeling of dying my hair was brewing and I finally took the plunge, put on my big girl pants, called my momma (aka, my hairdresser) and did it. I removed my long locks and went for a shorter do so it wouldn’t be that shocking. Who am I kidding? It’s shocking!! I shock myself every morning when I look in the mirror and the pink bed head is out of control cray cray. Update… I washed it once after these photos and it’s almost faded away. Still not sure if I’m going to do it again. I might just wait till I return from NYC in a few weeks. By the way, who’s going to the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic Rose Garden party? I will be there and would love to meet and rose with you all day! Read More…

If there’s anything that I’m more obsessed with this time of year, it’s the blue hues. It’s the color that happens to be in everything I want to wear. Not because I’m a fan of the tone, but as of lately anything blue is calling my name. Maybe it’s time to head to the beach and emerge in the blue ocean. lol… When I walked into the Koko & Palenki store, I saw this beautiful dress and just knew I had to have it (along with everything else in this startling store!). Koko & Palenki never fails me. It’s one of those stores that you just can’t walk out of empty handed. They have something to complement every style and every occasion. Now back to the dress- it is just dreamy. So flowy, airy yet with the perfect fit. Read More…

Hey friends!
This dress! This dress, my friends, has been on repeat. It’s starting to look like a floral frenzy around here since that’s all I want to wear, but you know how it goes! Once you find a versatile piece that matches with everything, it’s easy to pair with everything and create different fun looks and I love that. I picked this one up from Maruchi– a local boutique that I’ve mentioned on here before. Remember these looks (here and here)?  It’s one of those stores that you’re guaranteed to walk out with options and we all know that’s what every girl wants, options!  This is a look that I wore for Easter, a baby shower and for a stroll and day date with the hubby. The intricate detail on this dress is epic and looks good from every angle and all around.

Hello there!

I wore this really cute little number to a recent girl’s day brunch with a few Miami fashion bloggers and I just can’t get enough of this look. If you follow me on snapchat and Instagram (@AFancyAffair) you probably saw a glimpse of our rendezvous. This look is so feminine, chic and has a bit of sex appeal because the bodysuit is so form fitting. It’s all business in the front and party on the back. Ahh, it’s so me!! By the way, are you guys sick of seeing these fringe and tassel Margo Schutz sandals? I’m not sick of wearing them, yet I literally reach for them all the time and the first thought that comes to my head is, “Really Amanda, again?” (I promise you guys I’m not crazy, but I really do think of these things! Lol… Just being honest). Someone told me you’re only considered crazy when you start answering yourself! I haven’t done that yet, so I’m guessing I’m still good. Now back to the outfit- I’m in love. Do you like it? The skirt was part of a crop top set, which I wore (here) a few weeks back. I was dying to wear it all together, but it just hasn’t happened yet. This is why I love outfit sets, because you get three looks out of it! If the print is right, than get it! You won’t regret it, trust me.

Anyway, thank you all for stopping by today and spending some time with me. Love you all so much! Read More…

Hey friends! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I sure had an amazing weekend and wore this flowy, cheerful and bright little number. Clothing and accessories lined with pom pom’s and tassels are all the rage this spring and summer and the perfect combo for a fun spring look! These exciting trends are all over the magazines, stores, clothing and everywhere else that fits and I love it! It’s the fun girly side of me that loves it. Even though this year I’ve been digging the tassels trend a little more, last year, my summer obsession with pom-pom’s was real. Remember the gorgeous kaftan I wore to Bimini??

I have already pulled it back out because first chance I get, it will come on and I’m not taking it off.

What are some trends you guys are digging this spring?

Hey friends! It’s been almost a week since we last met up here and that’s way too long. My website was hacked a few days ago and as DJ Khaled would say,  “They don’t want us to chat,” but it’s now back up and we’re gonna chat!

This ensemble is such a simple and easy look to pull off and I think we should all try it at least once. Years ago, I wouldn’t dare to leave the house dressed in an all white monochromatic look, now that I think back I really don’t know why I wouldn’t because I love the way it looks. So chic, clean, crisp, and of course feminine when a touch of blush is added. I picked up this vest at Zara a few months ago, and wore it here a few weeks ago by pairing it with a floral dress. Can’t decide which way I like it more so let’s get chatty and let me know which looks you are more keen towards. Sound off on the comments below. By the way, want to save some money when purchasing a Daniel Wellington watch than use coupon code “AFANCYAFFAIR” during checkout.

This look is such an easy airy outfit to wear. It’s fun, fresh, playful, feminine and perfect for an afternoon in Miami. I paired it with my structured Gucci bag to tone down the fluffiness of the top and skirt. Perhaps, now for Spring I’ll wear this look with a bag that has a pop of color instead. I wore this little number to a dear friend of mine’s salon grand opening, “Je Suis Spa Hair Salon” in Miami, where lucky for me, my mom (Jussara) and uncle (Pablo) work. Read More…

Hello there!

Did you catch the drift? The off the shoulder trend is what every girl wants to be caught wearing this season. I’m not mad about it and neither should you! This trend is feminine, chic, fun and so flirty, a personal favorite of mine. I love anything that has a bare back and bare shoulders, (remember this post?) so it’s to no surprise that I am all over it. Have you jumped on the bandwagon? Read More…

Last week Michael and I decided to go on an early dinner date (#yass ! We took #FancyP with us) and I decided to tuck away my dreary winter clothes and dig in my closet for something with a more spring vibe. I am desperately dreaming of warmer days and I’m not gonna lie, it was a little too cool for this look, but thankfully we ate inside. With spring only a few days away, (18 days, 4 hours and 21 minutes to be exact from when I wrote this post) I wanted to share 7 easy wardrobe tips on how to transition from winter to spring smoothly and fashionably!

Tip #1

Bring on the bold prints (floral,  graphic blouses).

Tip #2

Ditch the darks for something lighter.

Tip #3

Not ready to completely ditch the dark tones? Fine! Just add in the pantone colors of the year –Rose Quartz (pale pink) and Serenity (baby blue).

Tip #4

Lighter layers! Get rid of the heavy, bulky, thick jackets for something lighter like denim jackets, cardigans…

Tip #5

Amp up your accessories. Reach for this season’s trends like fringe, tassels, flower inspired earrings…

Tip #6

Easiest and most significant tip yet! Freshen up your make up and nails by switching up the darker hues for neon bright hues, nudes, pinks, anything that screams gentle, fun and feminine.

Tip #7

Switch up your bulky bags and purses for clutches and bright carryalls.

These tips are inexpensive ways to make a statement and be season ready without having to overhaul your entire closet. Hope you find them easy and helpful. Now bring on the warmer days and fun getaways!

Thanks for stopping by and spending a few minutes with me! Till next time. Grandma-13 Grandma-14

Hey friends!

This past Friday I hosted an early afternoon lunch at my home for some amazing ladies who also happen to be Miami fashion and lifestyle bloggers! They are legit y’all. The best part about being involved in the fashion and blogging community is being able to connect, meet and work alongside some amazing girls and cultivate great relationships with each one of them. As most of you know, I was so blessed last year with the opportunity to experience and travel to Paris with the Veuve Clicquot team, and as the new Miami brand ambassador I want to reminisce and re-live every second of that trip (see more of my trip to Paris here). So why not have some much needed girl time?  I invited them over for an afternoon of sweet laughter, happiness and joy, with delicious tropical themed food, as we sipped on my favorite drink- Veuve Clicquot Rich and give them a glimpse of what it was like for me to be in Paris.

(See here the last party I hosted at home with Veuve Clicquot Rich)

Oh, how cute and fitting is this door bell, “press for champagne”? I wish this door bell was available everywhere, and of course, serving only the best champagne- Veuve Clicquot Rich with fresh cucumber, pineapple or mint and every other delicious flavor you can add to it. (It was a snapchat hit for all the ladies!). Click here for a quick video on how to make your own #richandfancy drink.

My sweet and dear friend, Florencia Valdes, owner of Something Sweet by Flo, makes the most exquisite cakes, cupcakes, cake pops and every heavenly sent goodness you could think of. She is the best baker in Miami and no design is a challenge for her. When I told her about this party, she was so excited to get baking and I was floored when she delivered the cake and the pineapple and flamingo cookies. She did an outstanding job and let me not even get started with how amazing it all tasted. The cake was coconut with pineapple filling and just incredibly delicious. Seriously! #FoodPorn 🙂 . The final touches, with fresh flowers, dwarf pineapples and a freshly chopped coconut were the perfect cherry on top. So Pinterest worthy baked goods!

By the way, my flower arrangements were a total last minute plan! I started off by removing the inside of the pineapples and added some Grenadin white carnations, then a few daisies and lastly some green fillers to finalize the tropical themed arrangements.

6L4A7587 6L4A7563   6L4A7614

I set up a few bar carts in my apartment with some of my favorite fresh ingredients; cucumber, peppers, and mint. We also wanted to stay within the tropical theme, since Veuve Clicquot Carnaval is coming to Miami next weekend! Tickets are still available (purchase here) for those that want to spend the afternoon celebrating and sipping on the finest champagne! Check out using the “Carnaval50” promo coupon code for 50% off general admission tickets. #cheers #VCCarnaval
Special thanks to all my sweet friends for attending and spending the afternoon with me, and of course, thank you for stopping by and reading this post. Till next time!
