Hey friends!
I recently had one heck of a spa day at the Cosmo and Company Salon and Spa in celebration of SpaTober in the Palm Beaches. I was in need of a GDD (girl’s day date). I’m the type of girl that will say yes to everything, and try not to leave anything for tomorrow that can be done today. However, there’s just so many hours in one day and sometimes I exhaust myself. Bold ruffles, stripes and embroidery are all the craze this season and I’m all over it. These trends are a major hit among fashion girls, magazines, runways and yeah, they can sometimes not be the most flattering on everyone’s figure. However, today I’m going to share a few tips on how to work around it and make it work for you. Now that I own my own boutique I hear these comments from so many girls and here’s what I have to say!
{Stripes}
Choose vertical stripes to lengthen your physique
{Bold Ruffles}
Opt for the ruffles in the areas that you either want to accentuate or hide. Examples, arms or bum area.
{Embroidery}
Less is more, I think. I only choose items that are embroidered in areas that I don’t mind people looking at.
Now go shopping and keep these quick tips in mind.
Thanks for reading and till next time!
Happy Friday sweet friends!
For today’s #FancyHairFriday I have created this really cute bend to my hair, leaving the bottom extremely straight and knotted the back so it wouldn’t have such a basic half up/half down look. Read More…
Hi friends!
How fun is dressing up for this season? I love all the vibrant colors, fun accessories like this cute straw bag and tassel earrings. Most of the looks/outfits I have been wearing lately are from my boutique- Fancy Boutique. I love to pick out items for clients and style each look according to their personally and I’m not going to lie sometimes they tell me they feel silly. We all have our individual style and that’s ok. I believe that getting dressed is the way you express your creative side to others. My favorite part about having the boutique has to be the styling part, putting each outfit together according to the occasion. That’s when my creative juice starts going and I feel fulfilled. The title of this blog post summarizes to a T, the way I feel like dressing up lately! All I want to wear are pretty “fancy” things, literally. Anything and everything from my boutique, Fancy Boutique. Opening this store was a huge dream of mine and it’s still a pinch me moment. I walk in every morning and think wow, dreams do come true. I have so many ideas for this little space, so many plans and things I want to do and the only thing I think of is why not? No matter how big the dream is, why not? Who’s going to stop me? But my favorite part is shopping for the store and picking out looks that I wish to see girls walking around in. My biggest hope is that girls walk in to the store and leave feeling confident, happy, pretty & empowered. So I only shop for things that I would absolutely love to wear myself and pick out the prettiest things. Really, everything with cute details, even if it’s a little lace like on these high waisted shorts. Isn’t the lace peeking through such a cute detail? I think these shorts should be in every girl’s closet and the color is perfection for spring. I paired them with this gorgeous off the shoulder crop top with bows on the sleeves and added these fun and festive earrings to tie in my newest Henri Bendel bag. What do you guys think of this look?

Hello all,
Excuse me if all I want to do is twirl in this look all day (with my pink hair)! I’m just that excited about this ensemble and couldn’t wait to share it with you. It’s one of my recent favorites, thanks to this gorgeous and flattering skirt. It’s so dreamy and designed to flatter with a tight waist. My favorite part is the flowy ball gown cut that’ll flutter with you every step. I feel like a modernized Disney princess, maybe because I’m also rocking pink hair. If you follow me on snapchat and on my other social media platforms (afancyaffair) , you saw the transformation, but if not, here it is! I’m that pink hair girl. I told you guys the feeling of dying my hair was brewing and I finally took the plunge, put on my big girl pants, called my momma (aka, my hairdresser) and did it. I removed my long locks and went for a shorter do so it wouldn’t be that shocking. Who am I kidding? It’s shocking!! I shock myself every morning when I look in the mirror and the pink bed head is out of control cray cray. Update… I washed it once after these photos and it’s almost faded away. Still not sure if I’m going to do it again. I might just wait till I return from NYC in a few weeks. By the way, who’s going to the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic Rose Garden party? I will be there and would love to meet and rose with you all day! Read More…

If there’s anything that I’m more obsessed with this time of year, it’s the blue hues. It’s the color that happens to be in everything I want to wear. Not because I’m a fan of the tone, but as of lately anything blue is calling my name. Maybe it’s time to head to the beach and emerge in the blue ocean. lol… When I walked into the Koko & Palenki store, I saw this beautiful dress and just knew I had to have it (along with everything else in this startling store!). Koko & Palenki never fails me. It’s one of those stores that you just can’t walk out of empty handed. They have something to complement every style and every occasion. Now back to the dress- it is just dreamy. So flowy, airy yet with the perfect fit. Read More…
