BRRRR… Miami hasn’t seen cold days like these in a while and I must admit, I wasn’t expecting it either. It truly caught me by surprise. Its’ way too cold for this tropical gal. I love cold weather, but only when I’m on vacation. It clearly didn’t bother me during my winter wonderland trip, remember that? So when the temps drop, all I want is to get cozy and stay warm. I’m not talking about walking around in PJ’. Thankfully there are many cozy and adorbs sweaters like this one that allow you to stay warm and still look put together. And any excuse to take out my OTK boots. I do love these from DUO,. They are so comfy and feel like you’re wearing socks.
Seeing double? No, you’re not! The “IT” suede skirt that has been seen all over the world and on here in the past is back on my blog, with a twist- scalloped trim. I really hate picking up similar pieces, especially in similar color, but look at this one? It’s so pretty, sleek and feminine. A must have, right?! Just say YES so I don’t feel bad about it. The color on this suede beauty is more vibrant too, and so versatile. I literally wear it completely different every time because it’s just that easy to style it. I also wasn’t lying when I told you during my last post (here) I was on a lace-up-top kick lately. I really meant it. The hubby likes it, I like it and so does Penelope, so it’s a win win win to me!

I’m going straight into this look. I picked up this cozy cardigan a few days prior to being invited to go to Paris as the new brand ambassador for Veuve Clicquot Rich (remember that? I sure will never forget!). It was one of those purchases that I saw and loved, and thank God I did because it came in so handy during my trip, for the long flight and it’s a great addition to any outfit. I wear this cardigan very often, casually or a bit more dressed up, pretty much with everything and noticed this past week that I have never shared it on here. It’s cozy and the color is so soft and perfect to throw on with any outfit. And you all know how much I love a bareback (seen here and here). Geez, I find it so sexy, yet not too risqué- even though this caged up bodysuit is all party on the back and on the front, I had to have it. I’ve been on a little caged-up-top kick lately and this is one of the many tops I currently own. Do you like this trend? So pushing the envelope already by mixing brown and grey, I opted for a white denim. Yes, we all know its past labor day and blah blah blah, that’s so 2000 late. Forget those rules, I think in cases like this it’s a go!
Thank you again for spending time with me today! Talk to you later this week.
Want to know what I’ve been up to this past weekend? Watch my vlogs on my Youtube channel. I will be posting it weekly along with styling videos as well.
Sometime mid last year I humbly won the “Up & Coming Beauty Blo-gger of the Year Award” which I was so excited about. With this big win, I was given the opportunity to do an instagram takeover and spend the day with the Blo Dry Bar followers and we had a great time showing off our beautiful city- Miami. I was beyond excited for this opportunity so thank you all that voted and supported this big W. The pictures came out amazing and so I wanted to share them with you all here! The hairstyle I picked was so versatile, fun and on-trend, which took me from day to night. Today’s post will feature my day look and next week, I’ll share my night outfit. Some of you may have already seen it if you follow the Blo Dry Bar on IG and for those that saw my vlogs during #vlogmas.
This time of year is the most exciting time of all. The gorgeous decor, shiny lights, pretty dinners and all the time shared with my loved ones, makes me one happy gal! December is a big month for me because it happens to be the birthday month of my amazing husband and younger sister- AnnyStella, so being a weekend hostess is my priority. This means, I need to have easy, pretty and festive outfits picked out and ready to go. This beautiful and intricate Alexis dress is perfect for hosting events. It’s chic, feminine, cheerful and a little sultry with all the open lace details. I can’t wait to wear it again! This color is perfection. I paired it with a few, more edgy Henri Bendel pieces, and of course, with my oh, so sexy “So Kate” pumps. While running around to get my house ready for the “Friendsgiving party” (seen here) I hosted last week, I made a quick pitstop at my favorite Blo Bar inside Village of Merrick Park, Coral Gables. I promise you, I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. They are the bomb and my hair lasted all night. I decided to try one of the three new hairstyles and went for something more old hollywood glam. Do you like it?
Friends, don’t forget to follow me along my instagram account for chances to win amazing gifts all month long! I’m so excited to be hosting 25+ giveaways for you. Thanks again for all the love and support and wishing you all luck.
I’m all smiles on today’s post because this past weekend was a wet one, but the rain did bring in a bit of a cooler breeze on Sunday and I enjoyed every second of it. The cooler temps in Miami are few and far between, so we appreciate mother nature for being kind to us and allowing us to enjoy what’s considered “fall” to many. This vampy tone little dress came out to play and it’s so perfect for this time of year, especially for the ladies (me!) that are skipping on self tanning and rocking the lighter skin look. I feel so pale lately, but this burgundy “ox blood” hue adds the perfect contrast. How adorable is this Boohoo suede shift dress? I love the way it fits and its 60’s – 70’s vibe. What’s even cuter is the price. It’s only $35… So inexpensive and perfect for Thanksgiving, maybe?!

If you’ve been following my adventures on snapchat (@afancyaffair), then you would know that recently I went back to lighter locks. I don’t mean to confuse anyone, but this post and the next few are too good not to share. I had gone darker and shorter for a project, but couldn’t stay away for too long. These are the perks of having a mom as a hairdresser. You can change hair color and hair style in a blink of an eye. JK… We all know that changing hair color is usually a very long process, especially if you want to do it without damaging your hair. However, my mom does make it a whole lot easier, plus, the darker hue was a non-permanent die. My mom has mastered coloring my hair and knows how it will react with all products. This is why it’s so important to find a good hairstylist and stick with them! It will make processing your hair very easy, and most importantly, smooth.
Now onto my outfit… I had been eyeing this gorgeous vest for a while and finally caved in and picked it up from my local Zara store a few weeks back. It’s been on repeat ever since. Timeless, versatile, sleek and easy to style for different occasions, this vest is my new favorite piece in my closet. Staple piece, maybe? Whether I style it for a day date or take it up a notch for a nice night out, the long line and asymmetrical open-front adds a sexy touch. Should I take it down to casual town and share it on here? I would love to do that. Leave a yay or a nay on the comments below. Your wish is my command (wink, wink).
The season is changing and we are slowly shifting into Fall. In Miami, this progression can be very tricky. Why? Because it’s still wayyyy too hot and reality is that we probably won’t feel the Fall and Winter cool weather till the last weeks of January. Miami weather = endless summer days = BLISS! That’s what makes Miami #PARADISE. So to all my trend lovers and trendsetters, let the transitioning to Fall challenge begin. It’s hot, but we can’t help the desire to wear the darker hues, booties, rich jewel tones, jackets, hats, suede dresses, closed toed shoes and the list could go on forever…. Thankfully many designers transformed their prints into more mysterious, sultry and dark tones in our favorite pieces. The romper trend in the perfect example. It’s no secret that my love for rompers has gone strong all year. I’ve been wearing them nonstop since last Spring, so when Boston Proper sent me this gorgeous dark bloom romper beauty, I didn’t hesitate to style it right away for an afternoon outing. It definitely sustained my desire to shift my wardrobe into Fall and the idea of adding these lace up ballerinas worked great, adding the perfect transition to my Fall look. This dark bloom look, in particular, translates the trend beautifully for Fall and can be worn multiple ways, by simply adding booties, a hat, different jackets to keep your look fresh, more dramatic and fierce every time.
Don’t put away all of your summer clothes just yet. Go through your wardrobe and see if you can add key Fall pieces.
