The beauty about living in Miami is that it always feels like summer. Yeah, sometimes the humidity gets the best of our hair, make-up and outfits, but I wouldn’t trade my city for anything. Ok fine, maybe for Paris, Spain or Italy, but Miami is the another city that never sleeps and has so much culture. We always refer to it as being like a melting pot. We have millions of people that come from everywhere. It’s so interesting to see how we all have different backgrounds, up-bringings, cultures and yet can all live in the same city and love it the same way. I once heard someone complain about the fact that Miami’s humidity is the worst and makes their face oily and I couldn’t help but tell them, thanks to that humidity for causing extra oil in your face because it will also keep your skin looking younger. Anyway, I love my city and going for long walks on the boardwalk in Hollywood beach is something I enjoy doing very much. Hollywood beach is a cute spot to walk around, eat delicious seafood while sipping on a yummy cocktail and watching the waves. It is such a family oriented place. People walk around here, bike, run and even skate the boardwalk when there isn’t a band or movie playing on the amphitheater.
Fun Fact about Hollywood Beach: Marley & Me was filmed right where we shot these photos. Other movies and TV shows were filmed here, but I remember watching Marley & Me and being like, “Hey! I know that place.” Where are you from? Would love to see in the comments below where my readers are from. Thank you for reading this new post and I’ll catch you on the next one. Read More…
You all should know by now how serious I am about taking care of my skin. I’m always looking and trying the next best cream to keep this skin fresh and young, but one item from my skin routine that has maintained a constant is the Clarins Double Serum. I’m just always in the market to find what is going to keep this skin looking young for as long as possible and of course at a reasonable price. I’m a few weeks away from turning 33 and legit, that number freaks me out! But as long as I can live a happy, healthy life and slow down the signs of aging I will commit to it. I have been using the Clarins Double Serum since I was first introduced years ago when attending the Spring collection release back in 2014. Read More…
Recently, I met up with my photographer, Vanessa, around the Hollywood area and OH EM GEE! What a cute little town to go hangout. We usually meet at a coffee shop (but first, coffee, Duh!) to discuss projects, collaborations, life and exchange ideas prior to shooting outfits and then the fun starts! We let our creative juices just pour out over our poses and photos. I’m not easy to shoot because I am so shy, but Vanessa on the other hand makes it so easy for me. She is so quick and creative, she just gets me you guys! I believe behind every blogger or influencer there’s an amazing photographer and that’s Vanessa! She is the bomb.com. Really! I truly love working with her and if you guys are ever in need of a photographer + videographer for whatever special occasion and life moment that you want to capture, she’s your girl! And it gets better. Her husband is also a videographer and they are the epitome of power couple with the cutest little boy, Foxy. #CoupleGoal. Vanessa is probably going to kill me for posting this, but legit! She’s an amazing human with such a humble, calm, gentle and good heart with an eye to capture the best moments. I couldn’t do what I do without her!
So we hung out for a bit as we walked around Hollywood, and of course, we had to play a game of jenga at the end and have a little bit of fun to celebrate our shoot day. Of course, I won! j/k… she beat me, and that’s why I didn’t post the last pic. lol! You know how that goes, if it’s not on social media (or blog) it didn’t happen. lol…
Anyway, for this outing I wore this really cute and easy crop top I picked up at Tobi and paired it with my newest fave high rise distressed denim. They give you instant abs and I love it. Of course, the final touches had to be a fun pair of heels and bag.
Thank you all so much for stopping by and checking out my blog post.
I had a lovely weekend and hope you all had one too! I spent my entire Sunday morning purging my closet and clearing out an entire room that was filled with products, and tons of clothes. This cleaning out was way overdue and much needed. Honestly, it should’ve been done in the beginning of Spring, but I never got around to it. So now, I’m starting this week with a huge to do list, but excited that it’s a new week with new opportunities. What are you guys up to lately? Remember when I mentioned Giti Online, the new online boutique I recently discovered and was loving so many pieces? Well, this is another romper that I loved from their website and got tons of compliments, plus it has pockets! Love everything a little more when they have pockets. The print is my fave too. I think the contrast between the navy blue and the nude is perfection and makes my skin look so tan.
Thanks for stoping by and wish you all a lovely week!
Today’s post is all about this look since it’s one of my new favorite jumpsuits! It’s sexy with vibrant and fun details. I’m truly obsessed with the fact that it fits me a little high waisted. I’m 5’9 so for items to fit me high waist is always a little miracle. I wore it to Key West and was still perfect for their weather because it’s very light weight. I picked this one up from Giti Online. They have the cutest andtrendiest clothes for every occasion. I love it! If I’m in need of an outfit, I know I can find it there. This top and this one are few that I’m coveting from their site. I finished this look with some of my favorite pieces like my newest white watch that you’re probably tired of seeing it since it’s on all of my IG photos. And this gorgeous Jemma wallet, which let me tell you, it’s perfect for traveling! It’s perfect to throw it in your bag as a wallet by day, a clutch or hands-free cross-body by night — just add the adjustable chain and voila, you’re ready to go. It’s a win win! Read More…

Hey fancy friends!
Last weekend I headed to Key West for our #TripleSmash best-friends annual trip (no new news for those that follow me on my social media platforms @afancyaffair). Yearly, my best friends and I pack up our cutest & trendiest clothes and travel usually to a tropical destination, either with our significant others or make it an all girls trip. This time we went with our hubbies and of course, I took Penelope. We need at least one of these trips a year. Our lives are so busy that a weekend to relax, spend QT, recharge and catch up is always a MUST.
The three of us have been in each other’s lives since high school and no matter where home is for us or where life has taken us, our annual trip is the first thing we jot down on our calendars. We look forward to the trip all year long and once the trip is coming to an end, we always wish it was a tad longer. This year the destination was Key West. It was the same location as two years ago, but it’s always a new experience and really the only place you can kick back, relax, and go dancing wearing flip flops and it’s totally acceptable. For those that don’t know, Key West mile marker 0 is only 3.5 hours away from Miami. So we packed up the car that Friday evening and took off! We made a quick detour at Cracker Barrel and ate breakfast for dinner, which is totally ok with me, since breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. I love their homemade warm syrup over french toast. Yes, I started my trip already eating bad, but I’m the type that would rather eat everything in sight and work out my happy little butt at the gym after.
Michael and I love road trips, (Just kidding! I do, he’s not that into it.) so comfort not only is key, but a MUST if I don’t want to hear complaints the entire 3.5 hours… lol! And of course we brought little #FancyP. A trip wouldn’t be a succesful trip without her. She was loving every second of it! Being in a car for a few hours requires a good playlist, yummy snacks & candy, comfy clothes, lots of leg space and obviously a sunroof to see shooting stars. So renting out the new Toyota Corolla was the perfect fit for this trip! My favorite feature in our car was the touch screen panel which made it so easy to pair up my phone and swap music quickly. I also loved that it was great on gas. We filled up our the tank once with only $28 dollars. Amazing huh?
We stayed at this really cute hotel, did a whole lot of nothing, but hangout by the pool and relax! Everyone headed back home after brunch on Sunday and Michael and I stayed back to enjoy a little more of this gorgeous and fun island. And of course we couldn’t go back till we had some Sloppy Joe’s and an original key lime pie. Oh, what a great way to end our trip!
I always joke about wanting to be a mermaid, but I’m kinda serious! I’m a tropical girl and always dreaming of tropical getaways, warmer weather, sunny days, sandy toes, salty hair & crave the smell of the ocean. I’m not too fond of the open ocean so I’m convinced I wouldn’t be a great mermaid, but a girl can dream right? Even though I love the ocean I also have so much respect for it. I love watching it from the boat, fishing is my jam and running my hands through the water while the boat drives away is my fave. Here’s a fun fact about me! My biggest fear is to get pinched by a crab… I’m dead serious, I hate those crawly little guys. I can spot those little suckers from miles away and when I do, it’s over! I become totally paranoid.
Now, let’s chat about this cute outfit! I’ve been dying to get my hands on a cute denim skirt. I find them so cute and fun for summer. However, I also haven’t worn anything that low cut in a long time so when I tried these on, I was little hesitant. I’m not a fan of showing my bellybutton, however, because I’m so tall, it’s kind of hard to hide. So anything high waist is usually a go for me. This skirt is totally the opposite, it reminds me of my high school days when I used to wear a ton of Brazilian cut jeans. They were the teeny weeny low cut jeans. Those were put to rest a long time ago and I wasn’t mad about it. This skirt, although low cut, is pretty versatile. I’ve worn it with tees and sneakers, with a lace top and wedges and the last with this Maggie Ivory strappy crop top I picked up at Tobi, which is also available in red, black and sage. By the way, if you haven’t shopped this website, you’re missing out on the cutest things! They have such cute curated collections of summer must haves, latest trends, and basics at such good prices. I’ve scored the cutest things on here and have a cart full.

Bold ruffles, stripes and embroidery are all the craze this season and I’m all over it. These trends are a major hit among fashion girls, magazines, runways and yeah, they can sometimes not be the most flattering on everyone’s figure. However, today I’m going to share a few tips on how to work around it and make it work for you. Now that I own my own boutique I hear these comments from so many girls and here’s what I have to say!
Choose vertical stripes to lengthen your physique
Opt for the ruffles in the areas that you either want to accentuate or hide. Examples, arms or bum area.
Less is more, I think. I only choose items that are embroidered in areas that I don’t mind people looking at.
Now go shopping and keep these quick tips in mind.
For today’s #FancyHairFriday I have created this messy twist ponytail. This is a perfect go-to hairstyle for those days your hair is a little dirty, but either you don’t have the time to wash or going to the beach and pool. I sprayed a little bit of Amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo and Voila! Read More…
