Fresh new year, fresh home! Easier said than done, right? I love to de-clutter my house and I find myself doing it a bit more during the first weeks of January and sometimes in the beginning of new seasons (Hate doing it, but love once it’s done).
Turning a house into a home takes time. I’ve shared on here in the past about how I fell in love with my apartment and some tips + tricks on how to make this process easier on the pocket and stress free by tackling one room at a time. The process wasn’t easy, but well worth it! I never thought for a second that my house would be decorated the way it is now and the aesthetic it would follow. Black, white, gold and silver luxe- it’s what the space was calling for. I dress so colorfully and my last couch was royal blue so this was a huge change and these monochromatic colors are perfect for the high ceiling, white tiles and open space. Here and there I have been adding some Paris memorabilia because I want to be constantly reminded of the city that stole my heart lol… So it’s obvious I needed the perfect black and white picture of the gorgeous and most breathtaking part of that beautiful city- the Eiffel Tower from Minted website. Can I take a second to tell you how amazing this website is? They carry beautiful art, stationary, supporting local and international artists. Below I will list other pieces that I have been swooning over and I may just take the plunge! So here’s a few photos of my dining area. I wish I could tell you that I’m officially done, but I always find myself picking new things up and changing it and of course, once the weather starts to warm up, I’ll bring a few more colorful pieces in, but for now here it is! Hope you like it! Read More…
