Tis the happiest season of all! I love this time of year to sit at home, be cozy, enjoy good drinks, warp gifts and enjoy family time!

If you have been watching my vlogs on my YouTube channel, you know what a dilemma we’ve had with our Christmas tree this year, but it’s finally up!! Better late than never right?! Every year we purchase a real Christmas tree and go with a different theme. This year we stepped out of our comfort zones with a faux white tree adorned with black, white and gold ornaments and we are so glad we did! Cute huh?! It matches better with our place and décor and is so much easier to set up and dismantle when you live in an apartment building (only apartment residents understand the struggle! lol…). This is also #FancyP ‘s first Christmas with us (can you spot Cheezie- our late beagle on our tree?) . We are so happy so obvs. we had to document it. Of course, setting up a tree means being cozy and cute with Old Navy (up to 60% off entire site!). I’ve been really enjoying shopping at Old Navy lately, (remember this post?) especially the Pop Preppy collection. I must confess that I truly enjoyed the black Friday sales they had! I scored many items including this gorgeous scarf for only $10 bucks! I ended up picking up two; one for me and one for you, which you can score during today’s Instagram giveaway Have you entered any? Don’t forget, I will be gifting items throughout the entire month as a token of appreciation to all of you! I adore you guys and appreciate the constant love and support!

XOXOXO

Hey,

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Can you believe the holidays are almost here?!!! Insane, right? This year has flown by and I had not realized that we were that close to Christmas till yesterday, while attending a bloggers brunch at West Elm (see more on my snapchat). The decor inspired me to come home and start to pull out some of my holiday stuff. I love this time of year.

Now onto the outfit; I have been on the search for the perfect tuxedo blazer romper and BAM, this  SheIn one is it.  Not only does it have a great fit, it is seriously the most comfortable yet sexy thing I’ve put on in a while. The plunging neckline is so hot. Obviously, since I’m large up top, I couldn’t wear it without anything, so I  paired it with this gorgeous bralette from Thirdlove. The bralette keeps it sexy, while not revealing what only the hubby should be seeing lol… And of course, I finished the look with my Schutz needle-thin stilettos. I wanted the overall look to exude sex appeal, hence the red lipstick. This gorgeous hue is from the Lancôme Audacity in Paris collection and my new favorite lipstick. It’s bold, has a semi-matte finish, and is the perfect hue for my skin tone. Would you guys like to see a makeup tutorial on this look? Let me know on the comments below. Read More…

Hello friends, hope all is well!

I’ve been swooning over this gorgeous Ellen Tracy coat for weeks now and dreaming of cooler weather to take this baby out for a spin! The kelly green hue in this stunning coat had me at hello and it’s the color I’ve been gravitating towards this season. Recently, I received an email from a dear follower about options and ideas for styling and wearing her coat during her NYC trip. I sent her some options of how she could use this staple piece to layer, and how she could take it from casual to dressy, from a day out with the girls running around the gorgeous city that never stops and never sleeps, to a fun night out with the boys! Coats are that versatile, and you all know how I love versatile pieces. I hate to repeat myself on here, but the truth is that I love to add pieces to my closet that I can wear over and over again, mix matching with pieces I already own to create new looks, every time. This sophisticated and form fitting coat does just that for me. It’s long enough to cover a little bit of my legs when I need it and short enough to still accentuate my body when I pair it with jeans. A warm and cozy coat is a staple piece every woman should own and have in their closet. Today I’ll share the casual look and sometime next week I’ll share the more glam look.

Also, don’t forget to vote for your favorite woman-hyphenated here!

Thank you all for stopping by once again and talk to you soon.

And the collaboration with Tory Burch continues. I had so much fun pulling looks from the Tory Burch Worth Avenue store, and was in heaven styling them. The staff at this boutique is extremely nice, courteous, knowledgeable and so trend oriented. As I mentioned on my last Tory Burch collaboration post (here), I wanted to style everything in sight, but we all know that’s nearly impossible. Oh dresses, how I love them; you all know that. It’s a total agape love, a forever thing. My favorite part about styling a dress is its versatility, highlighting your feminine side, while accentuating your natural curves. Although I die for trendy pieces, I’m also all about flexibility and non-fussy pieces that can easily become staple pieces in your closet. This pleated silk shirtdress can go from day to night, from a casual outing to a more intricate look. It can take you from office, straight into happy hour by switching up your pairings, like adding accessories and/or changing up your shoe game. We live such hectic lives and having more staple and versatile pieces is the name of my closet game. In the past year, I really started to look into quality versus quantity and it’s truly all thanks to the condo life. I have such a love hate relationship with it. Space is limited and I totally ran out of space to hide things, so every time I bring something in, I donate something else. I say it’s a love hate relationship because it helps you live a more simple, de-cluttered life, but also teaches you to shop smarter. I’m always living in the spring cleaning mode and the hubby is not a fan. I even throw away Fancy P’s toys.

Thanks again for stopping by and till next time.

Stay chic!!

Heyyyy!

Fall is finally here, which means let’s get bundled up, (NOT!) or at least pretend. As I mentioned on my last post, the weather in Miami may not be so fall-ish yet, or ever, but we can still dress fall-like. This past weekend I wore this adorable turtleneck sweater dress to an afternoon outing with Michael and Penelope, and it felt great! The cut off sleeves allowed me to stay cool the entire time. Ideally, I would  have loved to pair it with some OTK, (over-the-knee boots) like the ones seen on my last post (here), but truth be told, I would have melted. Transitional seasons like Spring and Fall are my favorites, because it challenges you to switch things up. It’s always the start of a new thing, and I love it. You can change things up at home, in your wardrobe and everything just feels different. What I love about fall in Miami is the wind feels a little cooler and more bearable to be out and about on your merry way. I am definitely looking forward to spending more time outside and doing more fall things like going to the pumpkin patch, (not that I need any more pumpkins in my house, but the location makes for a perfect picture setting) having a picnic at the park and just really spending more time outdoors. Believe it or not, I’m a home body. I love to be home, spending time in my little nest. Michael makes fun of me because when he goes to work on Saturdays, if I don’t have any plans or prior engagements, I am a very happy girl! I wake up, drink coffee in bed, take Penelope for a good walk, and go right back home to clean, and I love every second of it. That’s all about to change though, because Miss Penelope will be attending discipline classes on Saturdays for the next two months. Oh, Oh, I wonder how she is going to take them. I’ve shared on my social media platforms (@AFancyAffair) she is the cutest and most adorable pooch ever, but just like that she gets away with all kinds of bad habits. What I’m looking forward to the most is her learning how to come when you command. We love to take her out to the park, but she loves to run away from us and oh boy, we look silly running after her. It’s really funny and we have a great time, but it can also be very dangerous, so to prevent any craziness, discipline classes it is.

Hey babes!

Happy start of a new week.

If you’ve been following my adventures on snapchat (@afancyaffair), then you would know that recently I went back to lighter locks. I don’t mean to confuse anyone, but this post and the next few are too good not to share. I had gone darker and shorter for a project, but couldn’t stay away for too long. These are the perks of having a mom as a hairdresser. You can change hair color and hair style in a blink of an eye. JK… We all know that changing hair color is usually a very long process, especially if you want to do it without damaging your hair. However, my mom does make it a whole lot easier, plus, the darker hue was a non-permanent die. My mom has mastered coloring my hair and knows how it will react with all products. This is why it’s so important to find a good hairstylist and stick with them! It will make processing your hair very easy, and most importantly, smooth.

Now onto my outfit… I had been eyeing this gorgeous vest for a while and finally caved in and picked it up from my local Zara store a few weeks back. It’s been on repeat ever since. Timeless, versatile, sleek and easy to style for different occasions, this vest is my new favorite piece in my closet. Staple piece, maybe? Whether I style it for a day date or take it up a notch for a nice night out, the long line and asymmetrical open-front adds a sexy touch. Should I take it down to casual town and share it on here? I would love to do that. Leave a yay or a nay on the comments below. Your wish is my command (wink, wink).

Thanks again for stopping by and till next time.

There’s nothing more I love, than a casual fall look! Tis the season for layering up, bundling up, and being comfy. After such a great summer we’ve had, a lil cold weather never hurt nobody. The temperature dropped and the bundling up was the “IT” thing to do this past weekend in Miami. Now tell me, what’s your favorite thing about fall?

Hope you all had a wonderful and safe weekend!

I’ve been lusting over OTK boots  and thigh high for a few years now. {When I say lusting, I mean losing hours of sleep while hunting on the web}. I’ve seen so many that I want, but the ones that stole my heart are wayyyy over my budget like these by Stuart Weitzman.

Recently, I found this season’s hottest trend on the web while the searching continued for THE perfect pair, and bamm I found them on Duo’s website. Fancy friends, these chunky heel black suede boots are seriously legit!! They are subtly sexy and the quality will blow your mind. When placing your order online, they request such precise measurements for that perfect fit that will leave you wanting to kiss the mail man when he drops them off! Its like they are custom made just for you! Amazing, right?!

Have you jumped on the over-the-knee boot trend?
