Heyyyy!

Fall is finally here, which means let’s get bundled up, (NOT!) or at least pretend. As I mentioned on my last post, the weather in Miami may not be so fall-ish yet, or ever, but we can still dress fall-like. This past weekend I wore this adorable turtleneck sweater dress to an afternoon outing with Michael and Penelope, and it felt great! The cut off sleeves allowed me to stay cool the entire time. Ideally, I would  have loved to pair it with some OTK, (over-the-knee boots) like the ones seen on my last post (here), but truth be told, I would have melted. Transitional seasons like Spring and Fall are my favorites, because it challenges you to switch things up. It’s always the start of a new thing, and I love it. You can change things up at home, in your wardrobe and everything just feels different. What I love about fall in Miami is the wind feels a little cooler and more bearable to be out and about on your merry way. I am definitely looking forward to spending more time outside and doing more fall things like going to the pumpkin patch, (not that I need any more pumpkins in my house, but the location makes for a perfect picture setting) having a picnic at the park and just really spending more time outdoors. Believe it or not, I’m a home body. I love to be home, spending time in my little nest. Michael makes fun of me because when he goes to work on Saturdays, if I don’t have any plans or prior engagements, I am a very happy girl! I wake up, drink coffee in bed, take Penelope for a good walk, and go right back home to clean, and I love every second of it. That’s all about to change though, because Miss Penelope will be attending discipline classes on Saturdays for the next two months. Oh, Oh, I wonder how she is going to take them. I’ve shared on my social media platforms (@AFancyAffair) she is the cutest and most adorable pooch ever, but just like that she gets away with all kinds of bad habits. What I’m looking forward to the most is her learning how to come when you command. We love to take her out to the park, but she loves to run away from us and oh boy, we look silly running after her. It’s really funny and we have a great time, but it can also be very dangerous, so to prevent any craziness, discipline classes it is.

Hello friends!

As the weather starts to cool off in Miami (which we all know this transition won’t take place till later this year), we could slowly start to transition our wardrobes into fall by adding the more obvi pieces like a jacket,  coat {more like a thick cardigan for us}, a scarf, coated denim and booties.  Or if you are simply not ready to do so, just add a darker pout, or start introducing fall colors like I did with this dark bloom dress {which is now on sale!}

Thank you for stoping by and happy first week of fall!

Oi amigos!
